About Me

My name is Morgan Elizabeth Xenos. Welcome to my retired ePortfolio, I created this ePortfolio when I was an undergraduate psychology student at Old Dominion University. Since developing this ePortfolio, I have moved into a masters program for counseling. My career goals have change dramatically so I created a new ePortfolio and retired this one. I was born in Chesapeake, Virginia and spent most of my life there. I started at Old Dominion University as a commuter in the fall semester of 2014 while working full time at Qdoba Mexican Grill as a supervisor. At the beginning of the sophomore year, I declared my major in Psychology. That same semester, I decided to join a sorority, Delta Zeta, which still a huge part of my life to this day. Delta Zeta works directly with the local SPCA and For Kids, which is a an amazing organization created to help break the cycle of family homelessness in the Hamption Roads area.

The spring semester of my sophomore year in college I was accepted to work under Dr. Cathy Lau-Barraco as a research assistant in the Behavioral Alcohol and Related Studies Laboratory (BARS Lab) located in the Department of Psychology at Old Dominion University. Working in this lab has had a huge impact on my life and my understanding of Psychology. I have greatly enjoyed my time in the BARS Lab however, my personal interest in the field of psychology remains in clinical Psychology. I remained working full time at Qdoba Mexican Grill, on top of all of my other obligations up until the spring semester of my junior year of college, when I began working on campus as an ePortfolio Assistant and moved to part time at Qdoba. I was extremely excited to accept this position because I got to work directly with people and help them ad and prepare them for their futures.  I am hoping to get an internship this upcoming summer. I am interested in a couple places and have begun contacting them. Although I am not sure where my degree in Psychology will take me, I am confident that I want to continue my education in the field.
